SACC Qualifier for Nature Photographer of the Year Report

Congrats to club member Bill Power on his several successes in today’s (Sunday, Jan 22) Southern Association of Camera Club’s nature competition at the Cabragh Wetlands centre in Holycross. Bill took first in the Flora and Fungi print section and second in the Natural World projected section. He also came second in the Open Print Section and received two honourable mentions. Guest Speaker: Mike Brown

On October 4th, our guest speaker in front of a capacity audience was Timoleague based landscape and nature photographer Mike Brown. Mike’s opening image was a common-or-garden photo of a horse, the kind of shot that anyone with even a cursory knowledge of photography would take. Guy Gowan Visit

Our star guest on Tuesday 20th September was no less than imaging expert Guy Gowan. Guy has a worldwide reputation and has worked as a consultant for Adobe, Apple, Canon, Nikon and Epson among others. It was a huge privilege to have him give a presentation to the CCG.
