EIGHT new distinctions for Cork Camera Group!

November 22nd 2014 was a historic day for Cork Camera Group as it celebrated a record breaking day in the club’s history by coming home from the November IPF Distinction sitting in Thurles with eight new distinctions and with all who applied successful. Good performance at IPF National Shield 2014

The IPF National Shield was held in Malahide on November 8th with a record of 27 clubs competing. Congratulations to Galway Camera Club who won the competition by the narrowest of margins this year, just one point clear of Waterford Camera Club. Cork Camera Group finished in 7th place in Monochrome Print, 9th place in Colour Print and 8th place overall.  There was only 21 points separating us from the winners and although we didn’t do as well as last…

IPF PPI Roadshow in Association with Canon

We are delighted to be hosting the IPF Print & Projected Image Roadshow in association with Canon on Tuesday, September 10th. The roadshow will be hosted by the IPF PPI co-ordinator, Michael O’Sullivan FIPF FRPS and will feature a presentation of some of the images from this years finals along with a demonstration of Canon products by a Canon representative and print samples from Canon printer. IPF National Club Championships 2012 – Results

Cork Camera Group had a very successful weekend in Athlone recently at the IPF National Club Championships.  We finished 4th overall, taking 3rd place in colour and 4th place in monochrome, plus an honourable mention to Michael for his image ‘Fallen Angel’.  This is our best result to date at this competition so major congratulations are in order for all involved 🙂 Thank you so much to everyone who sent in images for consideration for the panels – we had…

SACC Print & Projected Image Qualifier 2011/2012

The SACC Print & Projected Image competition took place on November 20th in Kilcoran Lodge Hotel in Cahir, Co.Tipperary.  This is the regional qualifier for the IPF Print & Projected Image competition which takes place on February 11th & 12th in Athlone Institute of Technolgy (more on that closer to the date!). The November sitting of the IPF distinctions took place on Saturday, November 25th in Thurles. We had 5 members going for distinctions this time round and we are absolutely delighted to be able to congratulate all five on being successful!
