Monthly League Round 4 - "Autumn"

After another excellent entry, the major honours went to Thomas Gaffney LIPF who not only won both Colour print section, first and second place in the Monochrome print but also won the image of the night. This has lifted him to second place in the Grade 1 league. Micheál Howard won the Projected image section. John Tarrant is now leading Micheál Howard and Jason Town in a very closely fought Grade 2 league, while Danny Foley LIPF leads Thomas Gaffney LIPF and Martin Duggan LIPF in the Grade 1 league. The committee would like to congratulate all the competitors so far in this year's league for the excellent quality of the entries so far. The rest of the season should prove exciting.

Guy Gowan Seminars

Liam Ramsell of IrishEyes in association with Stream Solutions, Apple Resellers in Cork and ETNTWORLD, is proud to announce that he has acquired the services of the world renowned Guy Gowan to come to Cork on 13th & 14th Decemberto run his last set of Seminars this year in Ireland. Monthly League Round 3 - "Self Portrait"

Niamh Whitty won the Monochrome section and the image of the night with her self portrait. John Tarrant and Virginia Kelleher took the honours in the colour print and projected image sections and a competition that had a very good overall standard both in creativity and production values. Very few images failed to score. The scores for the month can be found here and the overall league table is here. In due course the winning images will be shown on the league gallery.

IPF Distinctions

Last Saturday the IPF held their distinctions adjudications and congratulations go to Moira O'Brien for gaining Licentiate distinction. She joins Danny Foley, Thomas Gaffney, Martin Duggan, Joe Forde, Mick Fahey and George Greenlee as holders of the LIPF distinction. Adjudications are held twice a year usually in March and November.Details and application forms can be found on the IPF website.

Monthly League Round 2 - "Round"

Congratulations go to John Tarrant for the image of the night which won the projected image category and to Jason Town for winning both the Colour Prints and Monochrome Prints categories. Monthly League Round 1 - "Backyard Safari"

The first monthly competition of the season was very well attended and with a good and generally high standard of entry. Congratulations go to Danny Foley for winning both the Colour and Monochrome sections and to Micheal Howard for the Projected Image and the Image of the night.
