Cork Camera Group wins SACC Interclub 2017

Yesterday at the Southern Association of Camera Clubs’ inter-club competition in Kilkenny , Cork Camera Group won best overall club for the fifth year in a row. This is a brilliant achievement and, according to Bill Power, in the thirty year existence of the SACC it is a record only equalled by Mallow Camera Club. Guest Speaker: Paul Flynn

Tonight we had an excellent presentation of his seascape photography by CCG member Paul Flynn. Paul, who lives in Carrigtwohill, concentrates his seascape work on the East Cork coastline and specifically from Ballynamona across to Roches Point. He showed some stunning images that he made in places like Ballycotton, Guileen, Inch, Ballycroneen, Ballybrannigan, Finure and other locations that he frequently visits. SACC Qualifier for Nature Photographer of the Year Report

Congrats to club member Bill Power on his several successes in today’s (Sunday, Jan 22) Southern Association of Camera Club’s nature competition at the Cabragh Wetlands centre in Holycross. Bill took first in the Flora and Fungi print section and second in the Natural World projected section. He also came second in the Open Print Section and received two honourable mentions. SACC Interclub Competition 2012 – Results

The SACC Interclub competition took place in Carrick-on-Suir last Sunday and despite our panels jumping off the panels boards and attacking the judges (the images that is.. not us!!), we are delighted to take second place overall at for the second year running (runners up to Mallow Camera Club – the current national champions)!! IPF National Nature Competition Success!

The 2011 IPF National Nature finals took place in Dublin Zoo on March 27th. Our club was well represented having several members whose images had qualified through SACC regional round of the competition back in January. SACC Interclub Competition 2011

Mallow Camera Club hosted this years SACC interclub competition last Sunday. We placed second in both colour and monochrome prints and third in projected images. Overall we finished in second place, which is a great result. Mallow swept the board with firsts in all 3 sections and 2 out of 3 best images. SACC Print & Projected Image Competition 2010

Congratulations to Michael O’Sullivan who won gold and bronze medals in the projected image section and a silver medal in the colour print section.
